At the beginning, I experienced significant delays and communication issues regarding my order, which honestly caused serious concern because the parts were urgently needed for an important project.
However, after continuous follow-up, the Propel Parts team handled the matter professionally, provided shipment tracking, and the parts finally arrived successfully.
I especially appreciate their willingness to communicate, acknowledge the issue, and continue working toward resolving the situation.
In international business, delays can sometimes happen, but what matters is the final commitment to resolving the issue properly.
Thank you to Daniel and the team, and hopefully future transactions will be smoother for both sides. -
Our CSR for Dymax Inc., Deb, has been extremely helpful and consistently provides quick, accurate information regarding parts and inventory. When we encounter difficulties finalizing transactions through the internal website, she is able to promptly generate quotes and provide an external, secure method for payment. Her responsiveness and willingness to assist play a key role in supporting our team’s success.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the 1768464 washer used for?
The 1768464 is a washer that distributes load under a bolt or nut, guarding the mating surface and supporting consistent clamp force.
How do I install the 1768464 washer?
To install the 1768464 properly, prepare the area first and confirm the result afterward. Use these steps:
- Power down the machine and isolate the assembly before service
- Clean the seating surface and check it for damage or burrs
- Place the 1768464 in the correct orientation under the fastener
- Torque the fastener to specification so the washer seats evenly
Which Caterpillar machines is the 1768464 compatible with?
Compatibility for the 1768464 washer varies by machine and configuration, so cross-check it for your Caterpillar equipment before ordering. If you are still unsure, reach out to Propel Parts, our team will be happy to help you verify if this part fits your equipment.
Does the 1768464 washer meet performance standards?
Yes. The 1768464 is engineered to meet OEM specifications for material, dimensions, and durability. When replacing, choose genuine or high-quality aftermarket parts that meet or exceed OEM specifications so the part performs the way it was designed to.
How often should the 1768464 be replaced?
The 1768464 is typically renewed during scheduled service or a related repair. In demanding, high-hour operation, inspect it more often to stay ahead of wear. When servicing this area, the 6V9607 Bolt is commonly replaced at the same time.
What are the signs of a worn or failing 1768464 washer?
A worn 1768464 usually gives early warning through the assembly it supports. Watch for these signs:
- A joint that won’t hold torque
- Cupping, cracking, or flattening of the washer
- Marking or embedding into the mating surface
- Corrosion that weakens the contact area
Why is the 1768464 washer important, and what related part is commonly replaced with it?
A sound 1768464 is inexpensive insurance against larger repairs. Servicing it on time with parts that meet OEM specifications keeps the whole assembly working as intended. During an overhaul, the 1D4635 Cap Screw is frequently replaced alongside this part.
This 1768464 General Shim is compatible with the following models:
303, 303.5C, 303.5D, 303.5E, 303C CR, 303E CR, 304, 304C CR, 304D CR, 304E, 305, 305.5, 305.5D, 305.5E, 305C CR, 305D CR, 305E, 306, 306E & more...
